While The Bard meant his quote to reflect that a person loses a little strength of character each time he or she refuses to face a challenge of life, I am using it to comment on the cowardly acts of violence. An individual must have "died" many times to come to a belief that they have the right for one final curtain call that takes many innocent lives with them. In some twisted way they find that the act is justified in order to ease their pain or support a belief.
