Laundry detergent packet poisonings ‘still too high,’ researchers say

Young - In recent years, there has been a rise in calls to poison control centers for exposure to laundry detergent packets among older children and adults -- especially adults with dementia or disabilities, according to a new study from Nationwide Children’s Hospital. rom January 2012 through December 2017, poison control centers across the country received 72,947 calls related to liquid laundry detergent packet exposures.
