Insanity
The definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results".
As of August 2016 it was estimated that there were 7.4 billion human inhabitants on this planet. Let me ask you, when was the last time that you and someone else agreed on everything? Never, right? So the odds are that there could be 7.4 billion different opinions on everything is quite possible and most likely a true statement. While I would like to believe that at some point humankind could see eye to eye and accept others opinions without forced capitulation I would be practicing a form of insanity. In support of this hypothesis consider that no government on this planet will ever be able to proclaim that they represent the beliefs of all of their citizens. As an example, every four years our government elects a political representative that proclaims that "the people have spoken" then spends their term in conflict. Even if you have 99% of the votes you will still have 1% that don't agree with your policies. Then four years later we repeat the process with what hopes? that someone will receive 100% support. My point is that we need to stop convincing ourselves that repeating the same process and expecting different results isn't by definition insanity. Unfortunately while I would like to proclaim a logical and sane answer and resolve to this subject I don't have one and no one else does either because 7.4 billion people would probably disagree with it.
