Standing up for what one believes is right and challenging for the acceptance of your position has been an idea that has graced my topics on several occasions. Just hoping that things will go as you want them to or need them to is really a convenient way of saying "I may not like it but I will take what comes". So if hope is all that you can muster in defense of your position then you should probably keep your opinions to yourself.
