Why losing your job can be a time to rejoice, not panic

MarketWatch - 6/29/2018 - Bob Doll - Someone asked me once why I seem to always get the call from CNBC and other business media when the financial markets SPX, +0.08% go crazy. I’ve been told that it’s because of my calm demeanor during what is usually a temporary, but still distressing, crisis. I am thankful that people see me that way, and for the most part that’s a true representation of who I am. It’s easy for me to sit in front of the cameras and explain what I think is going on. My sincere hope is that it settles people’s nerves until the crisis passes. Kind of like an airline pilot. They need to get the plane on the ground and they have to use everything they know to get that done while keeping terrified passengers from losing control.
