Gary Cohn: Jobs Report Tied to Already Healthy Economy

US News and World Report - 3/10/2017 - Andrew Soergel - President Donald Trump' s chief economic adviser on Friday praised the country's strong job creation during the month of February, but suggested it was more reflective of what's already been "built into the system" than specific policy moves by the new commander in chief. During an interview with CNBC on Friday morning, Gary Cohn – the former Goldman Sachs president tapped by Trump to head his National Economic Council – described the 235,000 jobs U.S. employers drummed up in February as the "perfect number" and "exactly where it needed to be." "Our jobs plan and our jobs creation and bringing jobs back to America is going exactly the way we'd like it to go," he said. "I think this number reaffirms everything that we're trying to do."
