How to Follow Up on a Job Application

Or they'll issue this sort of statement: "If they want me, they will call me." This is the wrong approach to take. Once you have submitted your application for a job, unless the hiring manager tells you specifically not to follow up, you can't just leave the application hanging out there and wait.
