All too often, scam victims lose their sense of scrutiny and get swindled over these phrases. Not surprisingly, swindlers know exactly whom to target. Typically, they are men over the age of 65 living in urban areas, according to a new study by the London Police. Why are older men so vulnerable? They may be financially insecure, not have solid pensions or little savings. They want to "make up the difference" between what they need to retire comfortably and what they've actually saved.
