Health department warns restaurants of inspection scam

Michigan Live - 9/24/2017 - Roberto Acosta - Authorities in Oakland County are alerting managers at restaurants and other food establishments about a phone inspection scam making the rounds. The Oakland County Health Division and Oakland County Sheriff's Office have been told by local restaurants that individuals claiming to be a health inspector are calling them and asking for pre-payment for a food inspection.
