Elderly woman hit with handyman scam; police believe more victims out there
La Jolla Light - 1/29/2019 - Lyndsay Winkley - San Diego police are searching for a man suspected of using a home repair scam to steal a “substantial amount of money” from a 94-year-old woman and possibly others. Investigators said John Barney allegedly showed up at the elderly woman’s home in the community of Morena in September and told her she had cracks in her driveway that needed repairing.
