Lets see. How accurate where some of the other observations about “what’s next”? Ah…here are just a few the winning finalists…

· 300? Are you $h!tt!ng me? We will get rid of those guys in about 1 hour. (480 BCE, Xerxes, Persia, and just about everyone but some guy name Leonidas).

· The earth is the center of the solar system. (384 BCE. Aristotle, everybody else)

· Jesus is just an ignorant, delusional Jewish, carpenter. Ignore him and he will disappear. Or just kill him. That should do it. (26 ACE. Rome).

· The world is flat. (1491. Europe. Less one crazy Italian sex addict. Yep, he was)

· The world is still the center of the solar system. (1543. The Pope, everybody else, except some guy Polish guy named Copernicus).

· Take all of your money and buy tulips. (16th century. France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway).

· Humans can’t fly!!! Are you nuts? (The world. Except two guys name Orville and Wilber).

· Hitler will never invade Poland (1939 Europe, except the Poles).

· Hitler will never invade Russia (1941 Europe, America. Stalin was on the fence listening to some guy name Roosevelt.)

· Japan would never, ever, never, ever attack the US. Especially Pearl Harbor!. (December 4th, 1941. Roosevelt – AGAIN- and everybody in US Military. Except for some guy name Lt. John Leitweiler, Japanese code intelligence)

· Japan will own the US (1980s America and Japan and just about everybody else, except Jack Welsh).

· With computers, we will no longer need paper. (1970s. IBM, Sperry Univac, Burroughs, DEC…. Wait a minute—the only one still in business is IBM. Hmm?)

· America will get it’s rectum kick if they try to invade Iraq. (1990. The World. Except Norman Schwarzkopf).

· There is absolutely positively nothing wrong with our Capital Markets (Credit, Debt, Stock, etc.). Every Stripper in Waco Texas should be able afford 5 houses on credit. (2005. The Federal Reserve Bank, the entire US Financial Sector, and just about everyone in every branch of the Federal Government).

· With the magnitude of the financial crash (the great recession), US private investor sentiment is permanently changed. No one will ever buy stocks. With the DOW at 6000, we are in a new world. What will we do now??? (2009. 98.967 % of the United States)…On BTW, it is now at 22000. Hmmm.

· You cannot even make an electric car!! The extension cord will be too long!! (2000-2011. The entire global Auto Industry. Except some named Elon Musk).

Conclusion? Humans think they know everything. We don’t everything and what’s worse is we don’t know that we don’t know everything.

And that is where we find success.
