Labor laws don’t allow people to start work until much later in life than when I grew up. I’m all for protecting kids from working in sweatshops, but it’s gone a bit far and is hurting job seekers. My 15-year-old can’t wait to be able to get a “real job.” My 17-year-old just had her first interview. She won the job but was nervous that she would lose out on a lack of experience.
