As number of coronavirus cases increases, so do consumer complaints

Fox 24 - 4/6/2020 - Connor Hansen - As the number of coronavirus cases increases across the state, there have been hundreds of consumer complaints about scams and price gouging. State Attorney General Mike Hunter has teamed up with U.S. Attorneys and has more staff working on consumer protection. “Internally, we’ve essentially doubled the compliment of agents, attorneys, investigators assigned to consumer protection during the epidemic for the last three weeks plus," Hunter said. After one complaint, Hunter says his office investigated someone who claimed to have an FDA-approved COVID-19 test for sale on social media.
